Builders' Open: Northern Liberties @ 1148 Frankford

1148 Frankford is a new five-story building that will wrap around the rear of the existing Frank Furness designed bank building. Alterra Property Group's  new mixed-use building will house a 2,600 sf Wells Fargo Branch and residential lobby on the ground floor, 60 apartments on floors two through five, and a roof deck with sweeping skyline views. Twenty surface parking spaces will remain on the ground floor and be shared between Wells Fargo (10 spaces) and the new commercial tenants.  Once vacated by Wells Fargo, the bank building will be restored to its original grandeur and re-tenanted. 

The Northern Liberties neighborhood was originally an industrial area that was first revitalized by artists in the 1990s. Today, the area is one of Philadelphia's most popular places to live, with new homes and apartments available, art galleries, trendy boutiques, and some of the city's best restaurants.
