Stable Lofts
631 N. Broad Street
North Broad Living Management is redeveloping the 1867 Edwin Hart Stables into a 41-unit, seven-story boutique apartment building, with 5,000 square feet of ground floor retail. Some of the original wood structure was salvaged and will be incorporated into the design as wainscoting, flooring and timber stairs. Units will range from a 500-square-foot studio to a 1,400-square-foot, two-bedroom plus den. Select units have private decks, and the third-fourth floor units will be bi-level with dramatic, double-height spaces. Dan Greenberg of North Broad Living Management is the developer, Venco Building Group is the general contractor, Canno Design is the architect and Bala Consulting Engineers are the structural and MEP engineer.
For much of the late-19th and early-20th centuries, North Broad Street was the fashionable address of wealthy industrialists and a center of culture and nightlife. Now Philadelphia's grand north-south street is once again being transformed, with the restoration and reuse of some of its landmark structures, along with a new generation of high-profile buildings.
Spend an afternoon exploring the "new" North Broad Street in a self-guided tour sponsored by BIA of Philadelphia and join us for a concluding happy hour hosted by Hanover North Broad Street.
